Mission Statement

The Bruins of Western Pennsylvania is a highly competitive AAU Girls Basketball non-profit organization founded in 1987. It is the Bruins' intention to help grow girls' basketball in Western Pennsylvania through competition at the highest national level.

Our teams are staffed with dedicated and highly qualified volunteer coaches to offer affordable elite instruction, while minimizing the cost to individual players.

Our teams are financially self-sufficient. While players are responsible for their tournament registration fees and travel expenses, we also receive donations from generous benefactors and host various fundraising events to further defray costs.
